Our Team

Urvi holds a master’s degree in education and has spent the last 14 years in education. She has taught middle school and led educational technology teams, and, before joining Great Minds Virtual, she was head of a Waldorf school. Urvi founded and served as CEO of Strategic EdTech, a company providing services and leadership to help institutions develop their educational technology. She also founded and was president of SET Lab, a nonprofit that fosters innovation and best practices in education.

Urvi’s passion for educational technology and how it can be used to help all students learn and grow led her to Great Minds Virtual, where she is leading our school, guiding our faculty and staff, and helping our students have the best educational experience possible.

Urvi has a background in robotics and practices yoga, and we’re told her kitchen is always a mess because she loves to experiment with vegan recipes. Originally from Toronto, Urvi now lives in Newbury, MA, with her husband Wil and their two dogs, Floki and Thermopylae, who take her hiking and canoeing as often as they can.
