Our Team

Katy is a lifelong learner, reader, and traveler who is thrilled to be a part of the Great Minds community. Originally from Philadelphia, she moved to Indiana to pursue a bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts Education at Taylor University. Since graduating in 2013, Katy has been teaching middle-school Language Arts in various settings.

Katy started her career at an international school in Seoul, South Korea, moved onto a bilingual school in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, then returned to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she taught in public and private schools. Katy strives to create a classroom environment that fosters creativity, kindness, and a deep appreciation for literature.
